    Description

Recent Northern Virginia estate find.  Offering a beautiful hand crafted and signed by D (Dorothy) Loretto, Cochiti Storyteller figurine.  Dorothy Loretto Trujillo (1932 - 1999) was Water Clan, and active in pottery making circa 1950-90s. Crafted in the shape of a traditional Native American woman with four children.  Excellent condition with with no cracks, stains, or repairs.  There are a couple tiny abrasions on one child near the back (see last photo), but very insignificant.   Approximately 3 7/8" tall.  The traditional matte colors are soft, yet vibrant with just a touch of wear, primarily on the underside where the piece rest.  Amazing piece and displays incredibly well.  Please see photographs for overall condition, design, and dimensions.  Click on each for a larger, expanded view.  Photos do contain measurements.
