    Description

Wow! What an extraordinary piece this is! It depicts a singing mother, holding a total of 28 babies. Every baby is doing something different. She stands just shy of 8 inches tall This is the incredible artistry of Carol Suina, an artist of immense talent and respect. Her Keresan name is A-Che-Yats, which means Belongs in Front Of A Medicine Man (i'm sure there's a story behind that). She began her artistry in 1990, and after 30 years, she is at the height of her artistic maturity.  She specializes in putting huge amounts of babies on her mother figures. i've seen very large storytellers with over 50 babies! She is a VERY popular artist, and her work goes for astonishing amounts in Santa Fe galleries (and rightfully so). Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, i will immediately return the full purchase price, along with return shipping. Storytellers have always been fantastically collectible, and in the past few years, different Pueblos have created and developed their own unique interpretation of this genre, but it was Cochiti Village that started it all, and it remains the epicenter of this wonderful artform. Storytellers are beautiful and have a wonderful sense of serenity. It's easy to see why they are so popular. Many thanks for your kind consideration, and congratulations in advance to the lucky buyer. As always, Best Regards, Rich
